There are five major chemicals in your pool that need to be checked and leveled every week in order to maintain your pool.
The first chemical is pH, this is how much acid is in your pool water.
Then there is Alkalinity, this is made up of the different chemicals that are also in your pool water.
Next is Chlorine , this is used to keep the water clean from bacteria, Stabilizer is used in combination with the Chlorine.
The Stabilizer acts as a cover to the Chlorine so the chemical lasts longer in the sun.
Finally there is Calcium Hardness, this is for the calcium that is in the water, if there is too little then the water becomes coroded and if there is too much then the water becomes scale forming. |
