    You have probably decided that you want to be a lifeguard. Think about where you want to work such as the beach, pool or water park, the age requirements vary on location. Most commonly you must be 15 and older to become certified.

Enroll in a Lifeguard training course, the Red Cross offers them frequently. Go to your local library to find out where you can go in your town. You will receive basic certification and you will learn rescue skills,CPR, and first aid.

Now that you have been certified you can start applying for jobs. Remember to always keep up with follow up courses in life saving techniques.
