Pool safety is extremely important for children and adults as well. Sometimes it gets busy and you can’t keep an eye on the kids every second and that’s when it becomes too late. Learn about pool safety now. Here are some tips to make summer fun
Never leave children unattended in or around the pool not even for a second. Put up a fence around the pool. Make sure that it has a lock. If you have an above ground pool make sure all ladders and steps are removed.
Keep a phone and a life perserver by the pool in case of emergency
Learn first aid and teach other children in your house so if another child gets into trouble they can help until you arrive.
Kids may be tempted to try to reach for a toy they left in the pool. Remove all toys from in and around the pool. Make sure that you can see the pool from your home and when you are in the house make it a habit to look the doors that can give access to your pool. You may want to invest in a door alarm or install a lock not in your childs reach or a water alarm.
Teach children to swim at a young age that will lower your risk of drowning. Keep your pool chemicals locked up, your pool is not the only hazzard.
It is also important to keep in mind the pool in the winter is just as dangerous .In the winter always pump off your cover, children and small animals can drown in just inches of water |
